The BCCDC Foundation works in partnership with the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC). The BCCDC provides health promotion and prevention services, analytical and policy support to government and health authorities, and diagnostic and treatment services to reduce communicable and chronic disease, preventable injury and environmental health risks. The BCCDC Foundation is the philanthropic partner that enables the BCCDC to drive innovation that advances population and public health services for British Columbians and others.

The BCCDC Foundation is a proactive strategic organization that seeds and supports the BCCDC brand of excellence in public health, as well as develops and implements initiatives to support public health more broadly. The Foundation operates as a tax-exempt charity with its own Board and administration; as such, it is an arm’s length organization in place to support the BCCDC and public health.

One of our strategies at the Foundation is to help raise the profile of the BCCDC and public health. So we are looking to expand our team to include a Development and Communications Coordinator to support and execute communications and fund development strategies. This position will support work to raise the profile of the Foundation, BCCDC and public health broadly and to support the fundraising efforts of the Foundation. The job is with the Foundation directly. Please click through for the Charity Village posting for a complete job description and application instructions, and please share with qualified applicants. The deadline for applications is December 20, 2019.
